New Pentel Sign Pen Colours!

I'm always excited when brands release new colours for existing product lines.

Pentel recently released 12 new colours for their sign pens.

Here in Singapore, Pentel ran a promotion where a purchase of all 12 of the sign pens, they would gift a limited edition pen roll.

I of course bought all 12.

The colours are all so pretty, a great addition to the existing sign pen collection.
The pen roll fits all the pens perfectly too.

What are you waiting for, go run out and get them!

Review: Giotto Turbo Glitter Pastel Pens

Giotto is a brand I had not seen before.
A quick internet search tells me that it is an Italian brand aimed at children.

I spotted these glitter pastel pens on sale at paperchase and decided to try it out.

This set is described as special glitter pens in 8 different colours with ventilated lids, ultra resistant nibs and safe water-based inks that can be washed out of most fabrics.

With a pen tip of 2.8mm, it's not a pen one uses for detailed work.
It feels like a typical felt tip when writing, the ink is pigmented and there is a lot of glitter.

You can't really tell from the picture but the glitter looks quite shiny in real life and the only downside is that it does get all over the place after a while.

Great for kids, great for journaling. 2 shiny thumbs up!

Review : Zebra Pen Mildliner Double Ended Brush and Fine Tip Pen

Over here at TN5C we love our Mildliner highlighters so when ZEBRA [the manufacturer] announced that they would be making MILDLINERS in BRUSH form, we were quick to purchase them!

They come in 15 colors [also available in 3 sets as shown grouped below]

The colors are exactly the same as the existing MILDLINERS highlighters and are wonderful for coloring and lettering [of course]. The larger brush tip is soft yet sturdy enough to make lettering a breeze whilst the other end with the smaller nib is good for basic thin lines and writing.
I've found them wonderfully useful in my daily journaling and I would almost consider them a must have!

What about you?
Have you tried them?

Daiso Marker Pens

Have you ever walked around the Daiso stationery section and wondered if the pens are worth your money? I did too so I bought them to test so you don't have to.

These Daiso pens are the Water based marker pens. I picked up 3 sets, 2 pastel and a metallic.

The first pastel set is a yellow, pink and orange and it looks like a traditional highlighters especially the yellow, which is more neon that pastel.

The second pastel set is purple, blue and green and are very nice and pastel. I can definitely see this being used in my bullet journal.

Lastly, the metallic set contains a blue, pink and a green. The only way to describe these are that they are a thicker version of a metallic pen. The ink comes out with a layer of metallic ink that does rub off so be careful with it. With or without the metallic layer, the colours are still pretty.

Overall, the markers are good quality with pretty colours. They are a bit chunky for carrying around in a kit but would be great for using in a diary/planner/bullet journal.

Are you planning to buy these markers? Did you see other colours? Let me know in the comments!

DAISO X Girl's Trend Pastel Marker Pens Set

DAISO Japan has themed up with the popular website Girl's Trend for another collection and this time round it includes a set of pens which has been highly popular.

Swatches below:

Two of the colors are a little darker than the rest but all of them are fairly light and see through. They are very similar to the popular mildliner highlighters except that they are not dual ended. I've swatched them below to show the difference and as you can see, the mildliner is actually a little more opaque.

They are perfect for journaling and at this low price, they are a lovely addition to anyone's collection!

Have any of you tried it? What do you think?

5 pastel stationery you'll need for #studyinspo

Even though summer has ended, pastel is still everywhere. No complaints there :D
I've chosen these 5 pastel stationery that will inspire anything you're doing, from studying to bullet journalling.

1. Daiso Summer Post Its - Daiso has been releasing really amazing stationery recently. This collection was super cute. Besides post its, which come in paper or plastic, there were also notebooks, pencil cases and washi tape.

2. Stabilo [link] and Zebra Mildliner [link] Pastel Highlighters - Both well known brands with great highlighters!

3. Tsukineko Soramame Stamping Ink [link] - The soramame line is one of the lesser known stamp inkpads. These have an amazing colour palette and are travel friendly. If you're putting together a kit, I recommend these.

4. MT Tape [link] - MT tape is perfect for many things, but none more so for use in a notebook. I love the pastel series for labelling.

5. TN5C Sticker Folder [link] - New in our store, these pastel sticker folders have 20 clear pockets. They come in 2 other designs/colours.

What's your favourite pastel stationery? We'd love to know
