Review: Deco Rush 2022 Collection

Last year, we reviewed the Deco Rush Renewal [see here] and this year PLUS has added new designs to the collection.

Standard Lineup

Limited Edition Lineup

We have picked up 3 to review!

PLUS has kept the new 2021 renewal packaging; the off white cardboard packaging and new logo.
And each tape dispenser is once again a block colour and the tape design in a simple label.

Here are the swatches [with product numbers]
Note: Since the renewal, they are all 6mm wide

Personally, I am a big fan of DECO Rush for fuss free journal deco. They always feature very usable designs and these new ones are no exceptions. I'm looking forward to using them!
What about you? Have you tried these?

Review : PENTEL Black Colors Collection [20th anniversary Limited Edition]

To celebrate 20 years of ENERGEL pens, Pentel has launched a new limited edition collection.

Black Colors Collection

"The black ink with a hint of colors"

They are sold both separately and individually.
Available in both 0.5mm and 0.7mm.
Refills are also available and sold separately.

A known ENERGEL fanatic, I've picked up both sets to review.

The pens are retractable and write with the ease that we know of ENERGEL pens. They are also fast drying just like all ENERGEL pens. Simply perfect for lefties like me.

Here are the swatches

Though new to ENERGEL, the varied black ink colors is not a new concept. I previously reviewed SAKURA Craypas version here

Here's a comparison of the colors between the two. I've tried to pick colors as close as possible but there was no comparable color for the mocha black.
As I previously mentioned, I'm a total ENERGEL fanatic so there was never any possible way I would dislike these pens but in all honesty, the colors are really usable and since its Limited Edition, I'm going to buy a stash of the refills too.
What about you?

Review : KOKYUO Shellero X Mister Donut pencil case

KOKYUO is a Japanese stationery brand and one of their collections include a pencil case range [SHELLERO] which opens up completely for easy access. I've had my eye on them for a while but was never quite convinced to buy them.
Till now that is.

Yes, they collaborated with my favorite donut store MISTER DONUT to release a limited edition range.

Limited Edition is like bait to me. I cant help but covet and subsequently buy it. [sucker] In all fairness the print is actually quite pretty and i really like the words as well. Sugar Raised. I certainly am LOL.

As expected, it is truly easy to get access to all its contents at one go but i did not realise how big the capacity would be!

Here are all 16 pens from the MILDLINER brush range fitted comfortably inside of it!
A highly reccomended buy for those who bring a lot of stationery on the go with them ^^!

BALL Pentel 45th Anniversary Limited Edition Set

To celebrate their 45th anniversary, Pentel has released a limited edition series of their ball pens. Hyped as a retro packaging but with a brand new feel of writing, the pens are available in BLACK , BLUE or RED ink [packaging can be emerald green, yellow or purple]. However there is also a LE set available and in it there are 7 ink colors with 7 different pen colors as well!

The pens write extremely smoothly [courtesy of the 0.8mm tip] and the packaging is a delight indeed. I love them so much they have already joined my regular lineup of pens for usage in my journal.

Do check them out and let us know what you think of them!

The Stationery Department in LOFT Tokyo

One of the most popular chain stores in Japan, LOFT has quite an amazing selection of stationery. There is always something new!

Here are the latest sightings (July 2016)

Kokuyo has launched a limited edition series of their ever popular dotliner range featuring some super cute aquatic themed animals!

Not to be outdone, norino has collaborated with disney for a princess themed limited edition collection.

Disney is clearly ever popular in Japan. Especially the princesses. Style fit from uni has some new limited edition princess cases as well for their multi pens.

Finally, not something princess related or limited edition, the Pilot Fude-Makase Color Brush Pen (which I love and reviewed before) has launched a fine tip version. Its a little thicker than their usual ultra fine tip. A fantastic addition to anyone's collection.

SARASA from Zebra is doing a limited edition [yes we have a lot of LEs in Japan] collaboration with Fujiya (chain of cake and sweets stores in Japan). The offerings are "delicious" to say the least.

One more limited edition collection to wrap up this post. This time from PILOT's Hi-TEC-C Coleto range. The brand they have worked with? Cecil McBee. A Japanese female fashion brand popular amongst teens and adults alike. Needless to say the collection is girly feminine yet classy at the same time. Due to the brand's popularity, this particular collection is selling out fast!

Hope you enjoyed this little peek!
