Review: SERIA Cafe A5 Notebook

As we previously blogged about; Japanese store SERIA has a series of hobby notebooks for those who love journaling. We reviewed the RECIPE notebook previously and today, I will review the CAFE Notebook.

The notebook is A5 and has 56 pages. It also comes with a clear vinyl cover and there is a layout printed on each page. [See Below]

Example of usage

As mentioned before, there are many other notebooks in the range including travel, books, movies and food. Makes for a great way to journal if you can't think of a layout on your own. Do check them out if you can!

The stickers used can be found at our etsy store here:

Review: Zebra Sarasa Grand

New pen release! The Sarasa Grand by Zebra.

If the colours look familiar, it is essentially the Sarasa vintage series in a heavier pen body.
It is refillable.

Other features include a click type mechanism and an easy push clip.

Compared the other pens from the Sarasa range, the ink is the same, easy to write, dries clickly.
The metal body improves the writing feel, making it more enjoyable.

I'm also a big fan of the vintage colours.

Sarasa Grand vs Energel metal body pen.
Both pens weigh the same and have the same matte feel metal casing.

The Energel is twist whilst the Sarasa is a click type pen.

If you like the Sarasa range, this pen is a must buy.
However the metal body carries a much heavier price so pick your favourite colour and swap out the refills!

Review : MUJI Highlighters

Ever popular Japanese brand MUJI has launched some new highlighters! There are 3 colors in all [as shown below]
Each highlighter is just 50yen + tax [0.50usd~]
Note: This is the price in Japan and may vary in other countries.

The design is typical of MUJI where simplicity is most desired and features clear plastic cases.

Here's how they match up against the MILDLINER pens.
As you can see, the ink colors are very close. However unlike the mildliners, they are not double ended and only have the typical highlighter nib. So if you do not use the pen end of the MILDLINERS, you can consider buying these since they are less than half the price.

Overall, I love these new highlighters. They look good, work well and the price is undefeatable!
I highly recommend them to you!
