It's still summer and we've still got camping on the brain, or the elements of camping at least.
I've gotta be honest, I'm not an outdoorsy person. but camping things are cute. right?
Kingjim makes a series of label printers that are geared towards more casual, girl, colorful users. Some of the printers are able to print on special ribbon and then there's the Hiyori, which was created with one of my favourite illustrators, Mizutama.
What is it?
It's a label printer with a twist! It not only prints labels, it can also print on special washi tape and there are hole punches in a variety of shapes to create diary/planner stickers.
The entire Mizutama collection consists of the printer, label paper, hole punches and little folders with pockets to hold the labels/stickers. Other items from the Coharu line can be used with this printer.
One thing to note is that whilst the buttons are labelled in english, the system language is in Japanese. Nothing a little playing around won't solve, it's easy to get a hang once you spend a bit of time trying the various settings. Besides the usual settings like font, style, there are also Mizutama exclusive icons and preset greetings like happy birthday.
The hole punch is an optional accessory, it's a handle and the punches are sold separately and interchangeable. It's easy to swap it out and easy to align the label to get the right punch. Great for making smaller stickers for monthly layouts or similar.
The mini folder is a newer addition to the collection and is very useful. There are 3 pockets and will hold quite a variety of labels/stickers, perfect for travel.
The Hiyori is one of most used tools, I do recommend it.
Despite being one of the oldest forms of transport, the popularity of train travel has yet to wane. Little wonder since it makes the act of actual travel an enjoyable experience before you even get to your destination. There are sights to see and time for one to ponder or collect their thoughts. It might take a little longer but you will probably appreciate the journey far more as well.
After all its not just where you are going that counts.
How you get there is just as important.

When I visited Touch & Flow a while ago, I was looking for a notebook set produced exclusively by them and I left the store a happy girl. The fabric cover is made from a specially woven textile called "paper cloth" and it is dyed exclusively for the store by artisans in Kyoto. The lining is made from cotton twill. There are pockets to hold 2 notebooks in place alongside 3 card sized pockets. A handy pen loop is also included. Finally, the case shuts with a brass button engraved with the store's name.
The sketch notebooks are removable and spare notebooks are also available for sale at the store in other beautiful colors.
A delight to use and look at.
I would say that kit is not necessary for a Bullet Journal but if you're like me and at least half the Bullet Journal users out there that love to embellish their notebook with colour, you probably have a kit already or are thinking of putting together one.
I change up some things in my kit from time to time and I don't bring it out all the time but I've found that this setup works for me the best. It's all about experimenting and most importantly, getting a start.
The most difficult thing has been finding a pouch that fits my Towbow dual brush pens and where everything is accessible. It is technically a makeup pouch but I think it works pretty well. I also keep a variety of correction accessories, pencils, rulers and post it notes because you never know when you need those things.
Finally, it's important to find pens that you love to use. I stick to a few brands and make sure I buy a wide range of colours. It seems like a lot but one way you can slimline your kit is to pick a colour scheme every month and only bring those few colours out with you together with a core kit, which for me is anything that isn't a coloured pen.

Touch & Flow is a chain of high end stationery stores in Japan. There is one in Ginza Tokyo and one in Shonan Kanagawa. I paid a visit to the store in Shonan recently. Its not a large store [very small to be honest] but its probably a good thing because I wanted just about everything they stocked. They carried their own line of merchandise such as notebooks and tape (with store exclusives too) as well as brands such as MD and Travelers Notebooks.
Here is what i purchased;
Reviews of everything i bought will follow shortly enough. For now, what do you think? Would you be visiting the shop next time you are in Japan?
